Last week was so much better for me – nowhere near as tired, and we actually did a few things – like grocery shopping ha ha. When we spoke with the oncologist last Thursday, she did agree that the PICC line which was inserted when I was having the chemo that I brought home with me, as that cannot be done with a canula, could be removed. Thing is the PICC line needs flushing and the dressing changing every seven days, which ties us to home. Now that I am on monthly Immunotherapy, she agreed that it will be removed, so very shortly we will spend two weeks down the caravan – which I can't wait for. We just have to be home for the immunotherapy session, and the delivery of my drinks which is how I am feeding myself oh and of course get the line removed! Once we know all the variables we can plan – although Pat did pack her bag at the weekend…….
I only got one game in at the weekend – which just so happened to be the Gunners against the Toffees! I totally agreed with the MoTD pundits in that we were struggling to break down what is a very good defence It was a game being played that was crying out for Martin Ø, or then again Ethan to open them up – but of course Martin is injured and Ethan out on loan. The crowd was almost as nervous as I was, and then Mikel made some change bringing on Viktor, and young Max, and the mood in the crowd seemed to change for the better. Every time Max got the ball the anticipation in the crowd was obvious. Max, for a 16-year-old, exudes confidence with everything he does. His first dribble was stopped quite quickly, but he then did it again and got past his man. His shot was a little wayward, flying high over the bar, but the fact he was prepared to take it on shows how much he is coming of age. He was always trying to get on the front foot. The game was getting close to the end, when he got the ball, turned back inside and delivered a beautiful cross, which flummoxed Pickford, and it became a simple tap in for Viktor, after a clever (although not sure it was meant) assist from Hincapié. This changed the game with the Toffees pressing forward to try and equalise, and Pickford going up for a corner, which was nowhere near him. A great defensive header from Vik, followed by a cute header from little Gabi, into the path of Max, who ran 70 odd yards, heading past one defender, and putting another on his AR$£, before slotting home. Loved little Gabi running interference for him, to stop any of the chasing defenders to be able get to Max before he scored. Thing is we have Starboy – so does this make Max Wonderkind or perhaps the press will find a new name for him?
Until next time - Stay Safe!
